The Brownstones are located in the heart of Franklin Tennessee. For anyone that knows the area Franklin is widely recognized as the most popular and prestigious great small town in the Nashville area. This thriving downtown and Main Street is rich is history and character, which is popular for its great restaurants, shopping, galleries and boutiques.
The Battle of Franklin was fought here on November 30, 1864 which resulted in almost 10,000 causalities and recognized as one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War. Today the town is a Mecca for tourists, history buffs and is one of the most desirable places to live for locals.
On weekends the Main Street is packed with visitors and it's a favorite place for many during the Christmas and Holiday Season. The Franklin Movie Theater is a great place to visit and still offers first run movies. The architecture from the early 1900's remains intact with amazing old brick buildings which include banks, courthouses and early era Drug Stores.
Another little known fact which is part of Franklins unique history is all the civil war soldier statues face south
