What is Unique about Rossmoor Village?
The architectural feel of Rossmoor Village reflects an old New England Traditional Style both in its homes and Amenity Buildings. With more than 2300 homes its considered one of the largest and oldest active adult communities in NJ having started in 1965. Despite its age residents often comment that it has a very "homey and comfortable" feeling to it. Like most older communities, buyers considering these communities find value in the favorable locations and affordability of the homes. Centrally located and just off I-95 residents are a short trip to New York City, Philadelphia or the Jersey Shore.

The community recently celebrated its 50th year in 2105. As one would expect the community is somewhat dated and some areas are in need of some updating. The location is ideal and the homes are very affordable. Buyers should consider that when purchasing in an older community they may experience more assessments and increases in HOA fee's as building and common areas require updating. Additionally the older homes will often be less energy efficient and may also require some updating of systems, appliances, roofs, windows etc. Buyers should not completely rule out a community for these reasons as often you can find home prices so affordable that it still leaves plenty of room for improvements. Also the locations of older communities tend to be more close in to metropolitan areas as compared to the newer neighborhoods.
